Artist
David Turley studied Sculpture at the School of Contemporary Art at Edith Cowan University in Perth, graduating with a BA in 2004. He is currently completing a Masters of Art (Art in Public Space) at RMIT University.
Dave has produced several solo exhibitions inclusive of From Time to Time, Moores Building Contemporary Art Gallery, Fremantle, WA; Old Works, Central TAFE Gallery, Perth, WA; Now and Then, First Site Gallery, Melbourne, VIC.
Alongside his solo art practice, David has collaborated on projects for the past 8 years with fellow Western Australian artist Korin Gath as d&k. Through the creation of immersive environments and confronting performances their practice seeks to form sensory paradoxes that question accepted ideals and beliefs. d&k have been awarded several artist residencies including an Australia Council studio residency in Tokyo in 2006.
